Remember the emlematic Ezio? Forget all about him. The new hero is an Indian named Ratonhnhaké:ton. We'll call him Connor though. The story takes place in the middle of the American War and we'll meet personalities like Samuel Adams (the guy on the famous Boston Lager!) and G.W. This chapter is more about revenge while the previous ones were about nobler causes. This is what makes AC3 a bad game I think. Αnd the naval warfare. It's possible to not do them but why are there in the first place? Anyway.
The game focuses on being a native killer trying to kill the guys who killed his village. The equipment is good and the mechanics medium to good to great. Something between these. The scenery is nothing but old as all the buildings have pointy roofs and are wooden so it has a fresh feeling. Boring are the travel times so Ubi added a system of fast travel to help players from falling asleep while travelling to the US border. Connor has a tomahawk to kill, a bow, hidden blades and can carry rifles. And he must hunt animals from time to time. And every 10 steps there is a cutscene what cannot be skipped.
Don't get me wrong, AC3 is a good game. But it's not Assassin's Creed. it's fun but something else.
Story 7/10 Gameplay 8/10 Technical 7/10 Overall 7/10
